(CNSNews.com) - Star Wars director George Lucas "fully supports President Obama's approach to the current economic problem” and thinks that the salaries of bailed-out bank executives should be capped, according to his spokesperson, who added that Lucas also thinks "rich" people should pay higher tax rates than people who are not rich.

Lucas endorsed Obama’s economic approach through his spokesperson after being interviewed by CNSNews.com about the issue at the Ford’s Theater re-opening ceremony on Feb. 11. Spokesperson Lynne Hale said that some news outlets had “misquoted or quoted out of context” the comments made by Lucas at the time.
